Party (BRP) has been found in Mastung some

 40 km from capital city ofBalochistan. According

 to the local sources and Vsh TV, a Balochi News

 Channel that mutilated and bullet-riddled dead

 body of Sangat Sana Baloch has been recovered

in Mastung Balochistan.

 

Sangat Sana Baloch had been abducted on

December 7, 2009, when he was going to Bolan

along with his college when personnel of government

 agencies whisked them away at Kolpure area

and shifted them to unknown location,
Pakistani government Intelligence agencies

 are alleged to abduct him from Kolpure area

 of Bolan district some 50 kilometres away from

Balochistan capital, Quetta.

 

The martyrdom of Sangat Sana Baloch is

continued “Kill and dump” policy of Pakistani

 Intelligence agencies .

 

Prior to this, according to the Baloch National

 Voice,  158 dead bodies of abducted Balochs have

 been recovered in Baloch districts of Balochistan,

who all were firstly abducted and later they were

Occupied Balochis- tan, 1 July 2011: Baloch patriot and  pro-liberation leader Abdul Ghaffar Langov was killed under- custody by Pakistani security  forces, his bullet-riddled and mutilated dead body was recovered today in Gadani area of district Lasbela, Balochistan. Mr. Ghaffar Langove Baloch was abducted by Pakistani security  agencies from Karachi on 11 December 2009, from hospital where his wife was admitted. Till his extra judicial murder his whereabouts remained unknown. He had no access to legal representation neither was he family  allowed to meet him.

Armed groups of Balochs in southwest Pakistan are gaining momentum at a critical point for the country's future. Deutsche Welle looks at the phenomenon which presents yet another problem in the troubled region.

 

A province marked by floods and images of burned-out NATO tankers, Balochistan is the land of the Baloch, who today see their country in southwest Asia divided by the borders of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Balochistan is the size of France and boasts enormous reserves of gas, gold and copper, as well as untapped sources of oil and uranium. The exploitation of these natural resources in combination with repressive and discriminatory state-run policies have led to armed uprisings in the region.

In his book "Descent into Chaos," best-selling writer and renowned Afghanistan commentator, Ahmed Rashid, says that the Baloch have instigated five insurgent uprisings to date. These insurgents take shelter in the rugged mountains of southern Pakistan and across the border, in Afghanistan.

KARACHI, June 7: Tension gripped parts of Korangi on Tuesday after the early morning killing of a young activist of the Sindh National Party (SNP) in an armed attack that left another worker badly wounded, police said.
They said Shahzado Banglani, who was in his late-20s, was targeted by armed motorcyclists in Korangi 1 ½ near R Check Post, where he was waiting for a bus with his friend Pappu Bajkani.

Occupied Balochistan – April 28: Two more bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch missing persons were found in Makran Coastal Highway near Ormada Balochistan on Thursday morning. The bodies were taken to the local hospital Ormada, where they were identified as Siddique Eido Baloch and Yousaf Baloch. Siddique Eido Baloch was Balochistan based Journalist and member of Human Right Commission of Pakistan. Yousaf Baloch is a tailor master in Pasni. Both are abducted in main Gwadar road Pasni by Pakistani military intelligence on December 21, 2010. According to a press release issued by HRCP’s Balochistan chapter, Siddique Eido Baloch, along with his companion, Yousaf Baloch, was on his way home to Pasni after appearing in a court in Gwadar when two vehicles, usually in the use of secret agencies, intercepted them on the main Gwadar Road of Pasni. The personnel bundled both of them into the vehicle and sped away. As many as 150 bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch political opponents and students have so far been recovered during the past eight months from different parts of the province. They were all young and mostly students, who were picked and killed.

In dealing with fractured states, particularly those of which are torn apart by ethno-national conflicts, the society of states often overlooks a fundamental issue, the one that lies at the root of such conflicts: Arbitrary nature of international boundaries.

Drawn by war victors and colonial powers in South Asia, Middle East and Africa, in a protracted period beginning in the wake of the First World War up until the end of the decolonisation of 1960s, these artificial boundaries have remained to be one of the major sources of intra-state violence – not to mention various inter-state border wars. Indeed, these boundaries are not social but political constructs; they do not reflect cultural, national and historical realities.

And yet, ironically, they are deemed essential for maintenance of order and stability.

What was the prime motive that drove the European powers to fiddle with centuries-old cultural frontiers is an inquisitive subject that, of course, requires thorough investigation. What became clear, however, in the wake of decolonisation was that both former colonial powers of Europe and the successor states in Africa and Asia were seen determined to defend these unjust arrangements.  

In spite of their mutual differences on a host of international issues, such as trade and aid imbalances as well as equal representation in international institutions, both groups of states were, nonetheless, united in preservation of newly established status quo ante: The present international boundaries must remain intact.

Conscious of their legally protected status within international law as “sovereign entities,” the elite of each newly independent state embarked on an aggressive path to create a unitary state, often crushing not only the customs and traditions of small nationalities but also, in some cases, pushing for new settlements in their territories in order to change the demographic facts in the pretext of developments and economic progress. Xingjian in China and Balochistan in Iran and Pakistan are obvious cases in this regard.

Faced with criticism on the foreign front, a series of resolutions were passed by these quasi states (to borrow a term from Robert Jackson) during the 1970s in UN General Assembly, soon, followed by another set of resolutions from African Union: defending the legal norm of non-interference in the domestic affairs of sovereign states. When questions raised by the former colonial powers over their repressive treatment of minority groups, the leadership of quasi states were quick to invoke international legal norms. Hence, any criticism on their abusive conducts was tantamount to intervention in state sovereignty.

But, as the Cold War came to a dramatic end, so did the myth of inviolability of international borders. From the breakup of Yugoslavia in early 1990s to the recent independence of South Sudan, and the ongoing crisis in Libya, it has increasingly become clear that the legal norms, such as non-interference and respect of state sovereignty, are not applicable when it comes to abusive behaviour of dominant groups, rogue armies or regimes within the quasi states. Sovereignty, indeed, comes with responsibilities.

(April 12, Karachi, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Baloch land once was a free and sovereign country, on August 11,1947,the British acceded control of Balochistan to the ruler of Balochistan, Mir Ahmad Yar Khan - the Khan of Kalat. The Khan immediately declared the independence of Balochistan, and Mohammad Ali Jinnah signed the proclamation of Balochistan’s sovereignty under the Khan.

The New York Times reported on August 12, 1947: “Under the agreement, Pakistan recognizes Kalat as an independent sovereign state with a status different from that of the Indian States. An announcement from New Delhi said that Kalat, Moslem State in Baluchistan, has reached an agreement with Pakistan for free flow of communications and commerce, and would negotiate for decisions on defense, external affairs and communications.” The next day, the NY Times even printed a map of the world showing Balochistan as a fully independent country.

You’ve probably never heard of Balochistan. A resource rich province of Pakistan wedged between Afghanistan and Iran, it is an area of great geo-political importance that includes the port of Gwadar, which many eye as a profitable road to China and Central Asia. Balochistan is also the site of what historian Selig Harrison has called “a slow motion genocide” of the Baloch people.

Despite its strategic importance and harrowing human rights scandals, however, the region and its problems go virtually unreported because Pakistani authorities rarely grant journalists permission to travel beyond the capital of Quetta and its intelligence agencies routinely monitor and mistreat those journalists who do enter the province.

QUETTA: The bullet-riddled dead body of a Baloch journalist was recovered from Quetta on Friday, police said.

Family members said Rehmatullah Shaeen, a correspondent of anti-government Daily Tawar newspaper in Bolan District, had disappeared almost a month ago when he was traveling from his native town to Quetta for which they blamed the government intelligence agencies.

The demonstration was organized by the Baloch Human Rights Council (UK), the World Sindhi Congress and Balochistan Liberation Organisation in collaboration with Baloch Raaje Zroumbesh, Balochistan Peoples Party, Balochistan United Front Federal and International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons.

 

 A large number of the Baloch, Sindhis and other human rights activists took part to register their protest against the illegal & forcible annexation of Balochistan by Pakistan 63 years back.

 

Speakers highlighted the plight of the Baloch people since the occupation drawing attention to the brutal violations of human rights of the Baloch by the Pakistani military establishment. They demanded immediate intervention from the US, UN and NATO in order to end the systematic genocide against the Baloch being committed by the Pakistani State establishment.

 

Demonstrators demanded the establishment of an international commission to investigate the crimes against humanity being committed in Balochistan by the Pakistani security agencies and its death squads.

Five Balochs were killed in Khan Naseer Khan Noori`s land by out-siders.

During the regime of Balochs in the past including the regime of Mir Naseer Khan Noori, not any foreign could dare to enter Balochistan.

Baloch land was burning. The Tribal heads were fiddeling when
Balochs of South Afghanistan were attacked. Sanjranees fought
bravely but could not overcome due to the indifference  of the rest of
Balochistan.

was one of those Balochs who
were displaced from their homes
 in Balochistan.


He, alongwith his collegues
was a refugee in Afghanistan
 where ISI of Pakistan offered 2 million dollers to a Afghan Journalist to kill him. The Afghan-Baloch friendship saved his life. The Afghan Journalist sought asylum in India while Mr. B. Dagh Bugti sought asylum in Switzerland.

Quetta (News Agencies)  A Baloch Refugee camp in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan, near the Pakistani border, came under attack by
Intelligencies of Pakistan on 25th March, 2011.

According to Afghan Police, the bomb fixed on a moter-cycle was exploded infront the houose of a Baloch refugee, Mr. Gul Bahar Khan Bugti, in
which two Baloch refugees were killed and three were seriously injured.
Afghan forces abruptly cordoned off the area and arrested a suspected
perpetrator who confessed the crime, adding that there were  many ISI agents who are sent over AfPak border to target the Baloch refugees in Afghanistan.

Isn`t Pakistan eligible for surgical strikes by NATO/ISAF forces?

QUETTA: Police recovered two bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch missing persons
from Windar area of Lasbela district on Wednesday.They were identified as
Mr. Arif Noor, resident of Gwadar and Mr. Nawaz Marri.

Police said that both victims were hit with bullets in their chests heads that resulted their death on the spot.Sources said that Arif Noor was employ of Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) and was
 abducted some five months ago while Nawaz Marri was abducted on January this year while coming to Windar from Hub.
